Welcome one and all to 16cav.com. This site was conceived as a tribute to my wife's father, WO1 Lewis A. Walton, and to all the men who served with distinction and valor in C Troop (AIR) 16th Cavalry during the Vietnam conflict. It is our hope that the site will become much more. We hope it will become a resource and repository for the proud history of this distinguished unit, as well as a place for the men and their families and friends to catch up or reconnect. Count me in. I was a door gunner in the Slicks Platoon in 72/73.

Here is a project that may require some thought. Lets try to solicit Military Historians at DoD and/or DA for C Troop records. Anyone know where to even start? It would be great to post the Operational Records of Charlie Troop to this site.
